The History of Boomtown New Orleans

When the doors of Boomtown Westbank casino opened in 1994 it was owned by Boomtown Inc. Boomtown Inc. was later purchased by Hollywood Park Inc. in June 1997 which has since become known as Pinnacle Entertainment.

A major expansion was approved in 2006 by Pinnacle Entertainment. The casino was to feature a 200 room hotel; a spa; a salon; additional meeting area; an Asian restaurant and an expansion of the Boomers nightclub amongst others. The expansion did not however happen.

In 2012 another expansion was approved where a 150 room hotel; a fitness centre and more was built. The hotel officially opened in 2015.
